The start of the new year is almost always messy - concocting new resolutions, measuring and fixing old ones and wondering about the purpose of resolutions in general.
You're all off to brand new adventures and faces and tons of dog-eaten homework. For some of you that includes meeting and smelling people of the opposite sex. No worries. They're human too, despite all the initial signs that indicate otherwise.
I do not know if there is a way of saying this without being self-righteous but douse yourself in buckets of humility because we are as ignorant as the next person. And become sponges! Although as Jared rightly points out, sponges lose everything they absorb almost as quickly. So aspire to be constipated sponges and you'll have a great year ahead. =o)
